The controller of your personal data is Bofoto Media AB (Org. no: 559514-2018, Malmö, Sweden). In this document, we refer to ourselves as "CatchWithUs", "we", or "our".

2. Data We Collect and Why

  • Guides: We collect your name, email, phone, location, bio, and photos to create and display your profile on the platform (performance of contract).
  • Guests (Booking requests): We collect your name, email, and message to forward your inquiry to the selected Guide.
  • Newsletter: We collect your email and preferences based on your explicit consent (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • Contact Form: We collect your name, email, and message to answer your inquiries.
  • Technical Data: We collect IP addresses and basic access logs for platform security.

3. Public Guide Profiles

Guide profiles (including name, descriptions, location, and photos) are public and indexed by Google to promote your services and help Guests find you.

4. Data Processors

We use trusted third-party service providers to run the platform: hosting and databases (Hetzner, EU), email infrastructure (one.com, EU), transactional emails (Resend, US), and website analytics (Google Analytics, US/EU). For services based in the US, data transfers comply with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

5. Data Retention

  • Guide data is kept while the profile is active (deleted within 30 days after account closure).
  • Booking request data is kept for 12 months for customer service purposes.
  • Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, delete ("right to be forgotten"), restrict, and object to the processing of your data. Contact us via email to exercise these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at www.imy.se.

7. Cookies and Analytics

CatchWithUs uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to analyze website traffic and improve user experience. Analytics cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time by deleting cookies for catchwithus.com in your browser; the banner will then appear again.
